    About Nashik

    Nashik is situated on the banks of river Godavari. It is also known as the ‘Grape Capital of India.’ It is surrounded by greenery and ancient Indian architecture.     History

    Nashik was earlier known as Panchvati. As it is situated on the banks of the Godavari river, it’s also one of the holiest cities of India.     Nashik is situated on the north-west side of Maharashtra and is 185 km away from Mumbai. Its ideally located near western Ghats, and is situated at a higher altitude of 565 above sea level.

    Nashik cuisine has a blend of Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Khandesh. Though it takes a cue from the authentic taste of Maharashtrian cuisine, still it has a distinct flavour of its own.
